The Impossible Really Exists

What must it be like in your funny little brains?

i am crazy most of all today…

i am crazy today most of all today,

leaving behind

everything I think I need.

gum wrappers form a trail behind me

and balled up tissues

stuffed in my pockets with keys.

corner of my left eye jumping

whenever i try to focus.

this is what happens

when you come to the city

from the trees.

these, the tranquility thieves.

i was making good time

but time doesn’t care about me

or my fancy technology.

Sweet Savasana

I open to the windows

and breath in the light and the city.

I fill up with sounds and silence

and stillness and weight.

The struggle becomes a hum

and the truth is easy,

not a search.
